Man Killed in a Wrong-way Crash on Stead Boulevard and Sagewood Drive in Reno

NEVADA – In the early hours of Wednesday, a man was killed in a wrong-way accident in Reno.
On February 8 at approximately 12:45 a.m., the Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department, and REMSA responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Stead Boulevard and Sagewood Drive.
According to authorities, a pickup truck heading north in the southbound lanes of Stead Boulevard collided head-on with a passenger vehicle traveling south.
The vehicle’s lone occupant was pronounced dead at the site. His identity has not yet been disclosed.
The pickup’s driver, identified as Terry Don Long Jr., age 40, suffered minor injuries. He was arrested for DUI resulting in a fatality and driving on the incorrect side of the road.
During the investigation, Stead Blvd. was limited. The road was reopened without limitations around 5:00 a.m.
