Las Vegas, NV – Kassandra Alvarez has been indicted by a grand jury on murder charges in connection with the death of Herbert Muskin, a 101-year-old World War II veteran. Alvarez was one of three suspects who allegedly robbed a business near Sahara and Decatur on March 1. The suspects led police on a chase that ended at Stephanie and Sunset.
During the chase, Alvarez was driving the getaway car and crashed into a car occupied by Muskin and his wife. Muskin was hospitalized with serious injuries sustained in the crash, and his breathing tube was removed on March 23. Unfortunately, Muskin died from his injuries a week later.
In addition to the murder charge, Alvarez is facing 13 other charges, including battery with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. She is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
