LAS VEGAS – Lee Canyon Ski Resort, located in Clark County, Nevada, has been sold to Mountain Capital Partners (MCP), as announced in a press release on Thursday. MCP is the proud owner of various other resorts such as Nordic Valley Resort in Eden, Utah, Brian Head Resort in Brian Head, Utah, and Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff, Arizona, among others.
James Coleman, managing partner for MCP, stated, “The Southwest is home to me, my family, and our team. This is where we live, where we work, and where we play, and Lee Canyon encapsulates everything we love about this region.”
MCP plans to launch a new program called “Power Kid” which offers a free season pass, with unlimited access to MCP ski and bike parks, including Lee Canyon, for children aged 12 and under.
Previously owned by POWDR Corporation and its local partner, the Thomas Family, Lee Canyon has received a record-breaking 260 feet of snowfall this season, making it a popular destination for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. The acquisition of Lee Canyon marks the twelfth resort in MCP’s portfolio.
