Nick Carter of Backstreet Boys Faces New Lawsuit Alleging Sexual Assault on Minor

LAS VEGAS – A new lawsuit has been filed against Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, accusing him of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl on multiple occasions, including incidents on a yacht cabin, according to documents. The lawsuit, filed in Clark County District Court on Monday, accuses Carter of sexually assaulting the then-15-year-old girl in 2003 when he was 22 and 23 years old.

The adult survivor, identified as “A.R.,” alleges that Carter raped her in a bedroom on his yacht and instructed her to keep the abuse a secret. The lawsuit also claims that Carter sexually assaulted her on a bus and a boat. It further alleges that Carter provided alcohol and drugs to the minor, causing her intoxication, and infected her with human papillomavirus (HPV).

Although the teenager reported the assaults to her mother, no charges were filed against Carter. The lawsuit lists sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress as causes of action.

This lawsuit follows a previous one filed in December that alleged Carter raped another woman when she was 17. In response to these allegations, Carter’s lawyers filed a counterclaim, accusing the accusers of exploiting the #MeToo movement.

Carter has denied the allegations related to both cases. A court date for the new lawsuit has not been set.
