Elko County, NV – A man suspected of firing shots at a pickup truck on a Nevada highway Wednesday night was found dead in his vehicle approximately 30 miles south of Wells, according to the Elko County Sheriff’s Office. The cause of death remains under investigation.

• Around midnight on Wednesday, a northbound Dodge Challenger fired a shot at a southbound GMC pickup truck on U.S. 93 near Wells.
• The Challenger then pursued the pickup, firing at least one more shot before the truck driver evaded them.

• Dispatch received a call later indicating the Challenger stopped on the highway south of Wells.
