Governor Lombardo Raises Concerns Over Proposed Changes to Reno Postal Center

Approximately one month ago, the USPS unveiled a proposal outlining the potential downsizing of the main post office on Vassar Street to a local processing center. This move would necessitate routing all mail through Sacramento for processing, rather than handling it locally. Key among the opponents of the proposal are prominent state agencies such as the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Both agencies heavily rely on USPS services to reach constituents across the state.
