Nevada is poised to play a crucial role as a swing state in the upcoming elections, making it essential for voters to understand the core values of conservatism, especially regarding energy and environmental policies. With the state’s electoral outcome potentially decided by a slim margin, supporting Governor Lombardo and officials who align with these priorities is vital for Nevada’s future.
Conservatives have a long history of leading significant conservation efforts in the western United States. However, extreme interests have created a false narrative that conservatives do not value the environment. It is time to dispel this myth by emphasizing the real environmental challenges we face and offering the most effective solutions through technological innovation and commonsense.
The environmental issues we encounter today are serious and scientifically validated. Conservatives must acknowledge these problems honestly, without downplaying them to counteract exaggerated claims from other factions. By providing clear, fact-based solutions, conservatives can lead the way in stewardship of our environment and economic growth.
Nevada’s energy sector is experiencing remarkable growth, driven by the influx of cutting-edge energy technologies from domestic battery mining and manufacturing to electric vehicle manufacturing. Governor Lombardo’s leadership in promoting a balanced and comprehensive energy policy along with a strong pro-business approach has been crucial for ensuring both the state’s economic prosperity and environmental quality.
Significant support exists among conservatives for all-of-the above energy development, polling shows that 85% of Republicans and 81% of Independents support an all-of-the-above energy approach that includes sources such as nuclear, natural gas, wind, solar, and hydropower. Additionally, a majority of residents in the West identify as conservationists. This bipartisan commitment underscores the importance of preserving our natural resources through innovative solutions.
To maintain Nevada’s momentum in energy innovation and environmental conservation, it is crucial to support officials who will collaborate effectively with Governor Lombardo and foster bipartisan solutions. These leaders will ensure that Nevada continues to thrive economically while safeguarding its natural resources through the adoption of renewable technologies. The candidates endorsed by Western Way Action are those who will champion these initiatives and drive commonsense progress for the state’s future.
