Fugitive Accused of Double Murder Captured in Mexico After Two-Year Manhunt

Oswaldo Natanahel Perez-Sanchez, wanted for the 2023 murder of his girlfriend, Tabatha Tozzi, in Las Vegas, has been apprehended in Mexico. Perez-Sanchez was arrested on April 15, 2025, in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, by the Fiscalía Unidad Especializada en Aprehensiones, with assistance from the Mexican Marines and Agencia Ministerial de Investigación Criminal.

Following the fatal shooting of Tozzi on April 22, 2023, Perez-Sanchez fled the United States, prompting a nearly two-year international manhunt. His capture was facilitated by coordinated efforts among multiple agencies, including the U.S. Marshals Service, FBI, DEA, and Customs and Border Protection.

Notably, Mexican authorities have also linked Perez-Sanchez to the recent murder of another woman, identified as Viviana Karely, in Sinaloa. He remains in Mexico facing local charges, with extradition proceedings to the United States pending.

This case highlights the critical need for robust cross-border cooperation in pursuing justice and ensuring that those who commit heinous crimes cannot evade accountability by fleeing jurisdictions.
