The Betrayal: How Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford Turned Their Backs on Nevada

On a critical day in Washington, Representatives Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford made a radical choice that shocked even seasoned political observers. They voted against President Trump’s Big, Beautiful Bil Act a transformative piece of legislation championed by House Republicans to strengthen our economy, protect our border, and restore prosperity for American families.

The consequences of their decision are staggering:

• The largest tax hike in American history. That means more money out of every Nevadan’s paycheck.
• Seven million American jobs wiped out, including tens of thousands in Nevada, all because they sided with Washington elites instead of the working class.
• The child tax credit slashed in half, hurting middle-class families who are already struggling with rising costs under the Biden-Harris agenda.
• 1.4 million illegal immigrants now able to tap into SNAP and Medicaid — programs that were designed to serve American families, not those who broke the law to enter our country.
• Over $65 billion in border security funds eliminated, leaving our communities vulnerable to cartel violence, fentanyl trafficking, and a worsening immigration crisis.
• And perhaps most disgraceful, they voted to strip over $150 billion from our military, weakening our national defense and putting our service members at risk.

It’s not a one-time mistake — it’s a pattern.

Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford have repeatedly voted to make life more expensive and less safe for Nevadans. Every time they have a chance to stand up for their constituents in Nevada, they bow to the radical left, voting in lockstep with the same reckless policies that created today’s inflation, crime, and open border crisis.

As NRCC spokesman Christian Martinez put it: “Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford’s radical vote is unacceptable. Instead of doing their jobs and making their constituents’ lives better, they just voted to raise their taxes, take away their jobs, and undermine our national security. Nevada voters will consistently be reminded of this betrayal all the way through next fall.”

And that’s exactly what will happen.

A new NRCC memo outlines how this vote sets the stage for their defeat in 2026. Nevada voters will be reminded — over and over again — that Titus, Lee, and Horsford voted to raise taxes on the average Nevada taxpayer by over 24%, and increase the tax burden for a family of four by more than $900.

These votes aren’t just numbers on a page — they are dollars taken from working families, jobs lost in Las Vegas and Reno, and safety forfeited in communities from Henderson to Elko.

Nevada deserves leaders who will fight for them, not betray them.

In 2026, voters will remember. And they’ll hold Titus, Lee, and Horsford accountable for choosing politics over the Nevadans they were elected to serve.
