First Lady To Launch ‘Women For Biden’ in Nevada

Dr. Biden: ‘Women put Joe in the White House four years ago and women will do it again’

First Lady Dr. Jill Biden is scheduled to visit Nevada this weekend as part of a swing state tour to encourage women to support the Biden-Harris ticket in November.

According to a statement from the campaign, the First Lady will stop in Nevada, Georgia, Arizona, and Wisconsin to meet with women to discuss the upcoming election and encourage more women to cast their votes.

“Women put Joe in the White House four years ago and women will do it again,” Dr. Biden said in a statement. “In our communities, women are the organizers, the planners, the mobilizers. We get things done. That’s exactly why we’re launching ‘Women for Biden’ now because when women organize, we win.”

Earlier this month, President Joe Biden visited the Silver State to court Latino voters and push for gun control measures. Nevada Democrats have followed his lead promising new legislation to ban ghost guns and prevent a “Gun violence epidemic.”

Abortion will also be the centerpiece of Democratic campaigns throughout Nevada. Nevada Democrats just launched a billboard campaign across the state accusing Trump of running an “extreme anti-freedom agenda” despite the fact that abortion is protected by state law up to six months of pregnancy and cannot be overturned by a”national abortion ban.”

President Biden’s visit to the swingy Silver State followed Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to Las Vegas where she delivered brief remarks to the powerful Culinary Union, stating: “The strength of working people is the backbone of the strength of our nation.”

Yet, the strength of the economy is the top concern of Nevada voters.

As reported by The Globe in November 2023, Nevadans are spending an extra $13,296 a year to afford the basic household necessities since Biden assumed office. In May 2022, The Globe reported that Nevadan household were hit the hardest by inflation. At that time, Nevadans were paying an additional $8,231 annually for basic household expenses.

Based on these estimates, Nevadans have nearly doubled their monthly expenses in just one year.

A recent poll confirms that only 38 percent of Nevada voters indicate that they approve of the job that President Biden is doing while a majority of the electorate – 53 percent – disapprove of the job he is doing. Almost half of the electorate “strongly” disapprove of Biden.

In 2020, Biden won Nevada by a razor-thin two percent, defeating President Donald Trump by a margin of 25,000 votes. At that time, Biden’s approval rating hovered around 57 percent. According to December polling from Gallup, Biden’s approval rating sits at 39 percent–an approval rating worse than any modern-day president seeking reelection.

  1. Is this a wonderful picture of these liberals or what? Except they forgot to celebrate diversity. Couldn’t they have at least checked down the hall for Abdullah or SheWanda or LeeRoy or somebody?
