LAS VEGAS – Monday was Benny’s last day as a pet therapy dog. At Southern Hills Hospital, he was given a proper send-off.
Benny, who will be 14 in March, has been helping out at Southern Hills for almost ten years. Benny is known as the “hug dog,” and a news release says that he “loves volunteering with stroke patients and kids with disabilities.”
Monday night, the poodle mix’s service ended when he did puzzles with kids in the behavioral health unit. In a press release, the staff at Southern Hills says they are thankful for all the therapy animals that help everyone who comes to their hospital.
