Secret Witness Offers $1,500 Reward for Capture of Robbery Suspect in Sun Valley Convenience Store Heist

NEVADA – The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in apprehending the individual responsible for a recent convenience store robbery. The incident occurred on August 16 at approximately 1:40 a.m. when an unidentified male entered the 7-11 store located at 5700 Sun Valley Boulevard.
The suspect, whose race remains unknown, entered the establishment and brandished what appeared to be a small to mid-size semi-automatic pistol. He demanded money and cigarettes from the store employees. Following a brief exchange of words, the suspect fled the scene on foot, making off with approximately $90 in cash and a carton of cigarettes. Witnesses reported that he fled east on 7th Avenue in Sun Valley.
Security camera footage captured the suspect arriving at the store five minutes before the robbery, waiting outside for customers to exit. The suspect concealed his identity with a homemade black ski mask featuring eye holes.
Standing around six feet tall with a medium to larger build, the suspect’s physical description has been provided by law enforcement. Investigators are urging individuals who were present in the store between 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. on the morning of the incident, as well as anyone with relevant information, to contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Unit at 775-328-3320 and reference case number #23-4271.
In a bid to aid the investigation, Secret Witness is offering a reward of $1,500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect involved in this robbery.
