LAS VEGAS – A public administrator in Clark County, Nevada, who is now being investigated for possible involvement in a murder case may continue to hold his elected job and collect a salary of $130,000 per year until a new person takes over in January.
On Wednesday, the 45-year-old suspect, Rob Telles, was taken into jail in connection with the slaying of Jeff German, an investigative writer for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
On September 3, the body of a German man who was 69 years old was discovered outside of his home. In the months preceding up to his murder this past weekend, he had written and published a number of articles on Telles’ office, in which he described it as being in “turmoil.”
