A Motorcyclist Died after Colliding with a Pickup Truck in the Northeastern Valley of Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS- According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a pickup truck in the northeast valley on Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m. LVMPD confirmed in an email that the incident occurred near the intersection of Pecos Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.
The collision occurred when an Aprilia RS motorcycle moving south on Las Vegas Boulevard collided with a Nissan Titan pickup truck doing a U-turn on North Las Vegas Boulevard, according to police.
The 28-year-old motorcyclist was driving at high speeds when he was killed at the site.
The driver of the Nissan Titan showed no signs of intoxication and cooperated with the investigation.
Road closures were in effect near the location while the LVMPD’s tragic detail was examined, however they have since been lifted.
