MLK and Chinese New Year parades are returning to downtown Las Vegas in January

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – As the year 2022 draws to a close, downtown Las Vegas is gearing up for its annual parades to bring out the new year next month.
The annual procession honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and legacy will take place on Monday, January 16.
Fourth Street from Charleston Boulevard to Stewart Avenue, Third Street from Garces to Coolidge Avenues, and all side streets in between will be closed.
Closures are scheduled to start at 6 a.m. and will reopen about 4:00 p.m.
On Saturday, January 28, the traditional Chinese New Year Spring Festival Parade will conclude the month.
Fremont Street from Maryland Parkway to Sixth Street and all streets in between will be closed during the procession.
Closures are scheduled to start at 8 a.m. and will reopen about 1:00 p.m.
On Friday, January 6, Downtown Las Vegas will host its first ‘Friday Friday’ event of the year in the Arts District.
