New Law In Nevada States That Drinking Water Must Be Requested

NEVADA – If a new bill is signed into law this legislative session, a complimentary glass of water at a Nevada restaurant would only be provided if requested.
Assemblywoman Heidi Kasama introduced Assembly Bill 186, which specifies that a dining business cannot supply drinking water to a customer unless the customer wants it.
If passed, eateries would be required to show the local health district how they are adhering to this requirement.
Notwithstanding this, the measure would not impose any penalties or fines for infractions.
AB 186 has been sent to the Health and Human Services Committee. A future hearing date has not yet been set.
