OBAMACARE STICKER SHOCK: HORSFORD CONFESSES DEM PLAN NEEDS ENDLESS BAILOUTS

For years, Democrats insisted Obamacare would make health care more affordable. They promised stability, competition, and lower costs. Now, even its defenders are conceding the truth — the law only survives if taxpayers keep bailing it out.

During a recent MSNOW appearance, Rep. Steven Horsford warned that Nevadans could see health insurance premiums spike by “200 to 300 percent” if Congress does not extend Obamacare subsidies yet again. That warning wasn’t directed at Democrats who designed the law. It was aimed squarely at Republicans even though the system Democrats built is the one failing.

This is the inevitable result of a law Democrats rammed through Congress, defended for more than a decade, and expanded without fixing its structural flaws. Nancy Pelosi famously said lawmakers needed to “pass the bill to find out what’s in it.” Now Nevadans are finding out and they don’t like what they see.

If Obamacare worked as promised, it would not require constant emergency extensions to prevent premium shock. A program that collapses without subsidies is not affordable; it is dependent. Horsford’s plea for a “clean” bailout is effectively an admission that Obamacare cannot stand on its own.

Nevadans deserve honesty. Rising premiums are not a Republican sabotage job. They are the direct result of a Democratic health care experiment that failed to deliver on its central promise lower costs.
