Progressive Groups Hold Presser, Violate State Statute
A hodgepodge of unelected Democrats condemned Governor Lombardo’s veto of AB520

This afternoon, Annette Magnus, Executive Director of Battle Born Progress, corralled a hodgepodge of progressive organizations and unelected Democrats to hold a presser (rage session) in front of the legislative building to condemn Republican Governor Joe Lombardo’s veto of AB520, the Appropriations Budget.
Sharing talking points with the Nevada State Democratic Party, an organization led by Assemblywoman Daniel Monroe-Moreno who recently opined that she “wishes she could legislate what parents do,” the Democrat activists ironically accused the Governor of having a temper tantrum and referred to Lombardo’s actions as “irresponsible, dangerous and damaging to our entire state.”
#ICYMI: We were joined by @NSEAOnline, @NCEDSV, @SSV_NV, @OneAPIANevada, and @VotingIsLocal to tell @JosephMLombardo that his veto of #AB520 is irresponsible, dangerous, and damaging to our ENTIRE state!

Although The Globe commends them on their theatrical production, the stars of this production (elected Democrats) were noticeably absent….which creates a statutory problem for the progressive actors featured in this Carson City side show.
According to NRS statute: “Except as otherwise provided in NRS 205.175, a person who uses or allows to be used, any reproduction or facsimile of The Great Seal of the State of Nevada in violation of subsection 4 is guilty of a misdemeanor.”
We have reached out to Battle Born Progress for further clarification and will provide an update with their response if received.
Hi! Were you granted permission to use the podium with the State seal on it? Sorry to miss the presser!
