Sam Boyd Stadium’s Future Is Uncertain

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – UNLV Rebels Football has played their home games at Sam Boyd Stadium. According to UNLV, it was constructed in 1971 and has played host to several events, including “Monster Jam” and even performances by the rock band U2.

It also acted as a Covid testing facility and provided social distance for the public during the Covid epidemic with May 2021 commencement celebrations.

However, UNLV collaborated with the Raiders and Allegiant stadium, which is currently the home of UNLV football. Many people are already speculating as to what will happen to Sam Boyd Stadium.

FOX5 reached out to UNLV many times to ask about Sam Boyd’s future. We questioned if the site could be sold, whether the stadium would be demolished, and whether UNLV had received any proposals.

“Sam Boyd Arena isn’t functional, and UNLV is thinking about choices for the eventual fate of the office and the property,” expressed Overseer of Public Undertakings Francis McCabe.

No different particulars were given about what could occur straightaway.
