The Globe has learned that Jim Marchant, GOP nominee for Secretary of State, will receive a yuuge endorsement this weekend. Although The Globe cannot release the details of the endorsement, we anticipate that our savvy readership can read between the lines.

This endorsement comes on the heels of a CNN poll showing Marchant with a three point lead over his Democratic challenger Cisco Aguilar. In response to the CNN poll, Jim Marchant told The Globe:

“Happy to be ahead in the polls at this point. Other polls show us up even more. Aguilar has massive amounts of money so we are happy to be leading at this point. This poll reflects the sentiment of the people. Nevadans are tired of the Biden economy and Democratic policies that have caused Nevadans to struggle in unprecedented ways. The people are ready for a change in leadership and new leadership is what we need in Nevada. My number one goal is to ensure that Nevadans have a fair and transparent election system so they can be confident that their votes count and their votes are recorded accurately. I have a big endorsement coming and this support is not only what my campaign is grateful for but what Nevadans need to get our state back on track.”

This weekend, Marchant will be speaking at the “Save America Rally” in Minden, NV where President Donald J. Trump will be stumping for GOP candidates, including Trump-endorsed candidates Adam Laxalt and Sheriff Joe Lombardo and “the entire Nevada Trump ticket,” according to an advisory issued on Friday.

This rally marks the second visit by Trump this year during the the Silver State and will be held at the Minden-Tahoe airport. The rally will coincide with the mass mailing out of ballots to most rural counties in Nevada, two weeks before the start of early voting and thirty days from November 8, election day.
