Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a man critically injured in Las Vegas last week.
According to arrest records, 34-year-old Vivian Jimenez and 30-year-old Joseph Skeirik were taken into custody on Sunday. Both face charges of open murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
In addition, Skeirik is charged with destroying or concealing evidence and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
The arrests are linked to an incident on Wednesday, August 6, when Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a man down on Sahara Avenue near Interstate 15. Responding officers located the man, who was later determined by medical personnel to have suffered a gunshot wound.
Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the shooting. Both Jimenez and Skeirik remain in custody without bail, with preliminary hearings set for August 27.
