Cruz: ‘Catherine Cortez Masto is a guaranteed vote in the back pocket of Chuck Schumer’

This past weekend, at the annual Basque Fry hosted by Morning in Nevada PAC in Gardnerville, Nevada, The Globe had the opportunity to take part in a press scrum with Texas Senator Ted Cruz. When The Globe asked Sen. Cruz about his opinion on Sen. Cortez Masto’s claims of being a moderate legislator, Sen. Cruz detailed a series of deciding votes, cast by Sen. Cortez Masto, which challenged Cortez Masto’s claims of being a moderate, bi-partisan senator.
Using the Corley Ranch as his back drop, Sen, Cruz skewered Catherine Cortez Masto’s voting record:
There is a dance a lot of people do on a ranch called the two-step. Catherine Cortez Masto, like a lot of Democrat politicians, is very good at dancing the two-step. When she comes back to Nevada she sounds moderate. Gosh diggity she says moderate things! You might even believe she sounds reasonable! Then she gets on a plane and flies to Washington and she votes identically to Elizabeth Warren and to Chuck Schumer.
Catherine Cortez Masto is a guaranteed vote in the back pocket of Chuck Schumer. When she showed up, she essentially handed her voting card to Chuck Schumer. Let me give you some examples.
Last year I introduced an amendment that said we should not send government stimulus checks to millions of illegal aliens in America. Every single Democrat voted “no.” It failed by one vote and Catherine Cortez Masto was the deciding vote. Why did the American taxpayers send millions of dollars to illegal aliens in America? Because Catherine Cortez Masto obeyed Chuck Schumer and voted for it.
I introduced another amendment that said we shouldn’t send stimulus checks to criminals in jail–murderers, rapists, pedophiles. We voted on the amendment. Every single Democrat voted “no.” It failed by one vote and Catherine Cortez Masto was the deciding vote for why we sent millions of tax payer dollars to murderers and rapists and pedophiles in prison.
Just this past weekend, I had an amendment to strip out the 87,000 new IRS agents, doubling the size of the IRS, in the Inflation Reduction Act. IRS agents who are designed to descend on and harass and intimidate small businesses and families will descend on small businesses and families in Nevada. Every single Democrat voted “no.” It failed by one vote and Catherine Cortez Masto was the deciding vote. You know why the 87,000 IRS agents are getting ready to descend on Nevada? It is because Catherine Cortez Masto got marching orders from Chuck Schumer and said, “send in the Feds.”
Democrats like to say they care about kids. It’s a good rule in politics, however, I think it’s better to look at what someone does instead of what they say. In the District of Columbia, the D.C. school board just passed a vaccine mandate on children to return to school. 85 percent of kids in the district are vaccinated. The D.C. school board just said that 15 percent of the students can’t return to school. Of that, the rate of vaccination among African American students in D.C. public schools is 60 percent. 40 percent of the black kids will be thrown out of school. I introduced an amendment trying to stop this. Every single Democrat voted “no.” Catherine Cortez Masto voted “no.” That was a cold and heartless vote. That is where the Democrat party is.”

We’ve heard a lot of “over criminalization” but Dems are pushing more gun and tax laws – poor people will be swept up. I knew a woman that sold hats at a flea market. IRS got State Sales tax records and audited flea market sellers went after these “tax cheats “.
Also the whole “lantinx” stuff is making. Dems. Look dumb. I was in Mexico last week and I asked a few Mexicans about it, they thought. it was some kind of joke
